Ashclops

It walks the high slopes wreathed in its own smoke, and where it treads the rock softens and takes the print of its passage. That single eye can focus its heat to a point, and an Ashclops hunting will simply stare at a thing until it can no longer bear to stay still, then close the distance with ponderous, unstoppable certainty. It is solitary and slow to anger, but an angered Ashclops is a small eruption in its own right, and the older residents of Vlamma read the mood of the mountain partly by the mood of the Ashclops that lives on it.
