Crimsonite Squidma

It propels itself in short, brilliant bursts, drawing superheated gas into its mantle and jetting it out to dart between vents faster than the eye can track. It feeds on the mineral-rich vapors of the fumaroles, filtering heat and sustenance from the volcano's breath. Nimble and skittish, it relies entirely on speed and its scalding body to survive, and a threatened Squidma vents a cloud of searing gas and vanishes into a lava-tube before the heat has even dissipated, leaving only the smell of sulfur and a fading orange glow.
