Seraphace

It drifts the old corridors and cold gardens, feeding, as best anyone can tell, on the quiet emotions of the places it haunts, absorbing reverence and sorrow the way another creature might bask in sunlight. Its serene face is a fixed mask, and it tilts and turns that unblinking calm toward anything that draws near, radiating a peace so total it verges on the sinister. It is not aggressive, but it does not leave, and a Seraphace that has decided to accompany a person through the Monastery will do so in perfect silence, its untroubled face floating always just at the edge of sight.
