Vulbrute

It lumbers through the hottest reaches of Mount Muspel behind a chest of near-impregnable volcanic plating, venting excess pressure through the great fissures along its back in bursts of flame and ash. It feeds on molten mineral, plunging its arms directly into lava flows to draw out the richest heat, and it defends its patch of volcano with slow, overwhelming force and eruptive blasts from its back-vents. It is solitary and territorial, and the tremors of two Vulbrute settling a boundary dispute deep in the mountain have, more than once, been mistaken by the people of Vlamma for the volcano itself waking up.
