It drives new galleries at remarkable speed, snout-first, spraying loose sand behind it in a continuous plume that marks a working Digmow like a boat's wake. It surfaces to ambush, exploding up beneath a passing creature and dragging it under before it can react. Rival Digmow wage slow subterranean wars, breaking into one another's tunnels and fighting in the dark, and a hillside riddled with their collapsing works can shift underfoot years after both combatants are gone.
