Glacikid

It grazes the wind-scoured lichen of the high ledges, going where little else can reach on hooves that grip the ice with uncanny sureness, and it treats drops that would terrify a grown creature as merely the quickest way down. Its frost-wool keeps it warm through the bitterest cold, and it huddles with its clutch-mates against the wind on exposed shelves that predators cannot easily reach. Playful and bold, it practices its leaping and climbing constantly, bounding from ledge to ledge in what looks like pure high-spirited nerve, building toward the sure-footed mountain-master it will become.
