Rival Molbash contest grazing and mates with head-on collisions that ring across the flats, jarring contests of nerve and neck that rarely end in real injury but always end in a clear loser. It has grown solitary and territorial where the Mooby was a herd animal, and a stretch of desert margin that once held a placid flock may, a season later, hold a scatter of belligerent Molbash, each glowering across its own hard-won ground.
