Malavite

It commands a wide territory of the best grazing and the deepest shade, and it defends it with a charge that its armored bulk turns into a genuine battering weapon. Its great horns and reinforced skull can shatter rock, and predators that troubled its lesser forms give a grown Malavite a wide and respectful berth. Despite its power it remains, at heart, a grazer, spending its days in the slow, deliberate feeding of a creature with nothing left to fear, and only rousing to that devastating charge when something is unwise enough to test the boundaries of a beast that has forgotten how to be prey.
