Skuldra

It hunts the burrowers and insects of the dry country, digging them out with clawed forelimbs and finishing them with a quick armored strike. The skull it wears has grown into it now, no longer a borrowed thing but a genuine part of its anatomy, horned and scarred with old fights. It marks its range with arranged bones, deliberate little cairns whose meaning is clear enough to rivals, and it defends that territory with a rattling, aggressive display that has sent many a larger creature looking for easier ground.
