Bazzer

It rides the wind between charged updrafts, hunting smaller insects on the wing and running them down with sharp, humming pursuit. Its sting can loose a real spark, and it stings without hesitation and, unlike many insects, without dying for it, so it presses attacks that a lesser creature would break off. It communicates position and threat to the swarm by modulating its buzz, a coded drone that rises and falls, and a hillside of Bazzer coordinating a defense sounds, unnervingly, like a machine warming up.
