Crimsonite Centilla

It pours across the sand on dozens of coordinated legs with a fluid, rippling motion, running down prey it seizes in strong forelimbs and armored jaws. Its segmented plating flexes as it moves, so it can turn on its own length and pour into a burrow after fleeing quarry. It hunts most in the cool of dusk and dawn, sheltering deep in the sand through the heat, and rival Centilla settle disputes in fast, coiling wrestling matches, a blur of armored segments that ends with the loser scuttling for a burrow and the winner unhurriedly claiming the ground.
